Marko Mitanovski.

These intricate designs hail from Serbian born Mitanovski's 'Lady Macbeth' collection. The artistic pieces have clear Elizabethan and Renaissance influences, very Avante Garde, complete with high necks and neck ruffs in abundance. The up and coming designer showed his collection at Belgrade Fashion Week 2008 and won 'Best Young Designer'. I am looking forward to seeing his pieces at Vauxhall Fashion Scout's 'Ones to Watch' event.

Tassel.

This is the first time i've worn this dress, I must start wearing it more often. It's really heavy - evidence of the good quality fabric and looks just like an extended curtain tassel.

Must comment on the bracelets also...they are by Erica Weiner and are part of her etsy range - of limited-edition pieces and reworked vintage jewelery. These pieces are a reproduction pair of Victorian wedding bracelets which were passed from mother to daughter. I love the detailing...of the brass chain and pattern engraved on the band.

The September Issue.

So, I finally got round to seeing The September Issue at the Ritzy Picturehouse. It was certainly interesting to see what happens behind the scenes at Vogue before the magazine appears on the shelves.

The documentary only confirmed the view of Wintour as cold and emotionless but nethertheless the main force behind Vogue. It was clear that without Wintour's approval...nothing could be put in the magazine. There was many an awkward moment with designers such as Stefano Pilati and members of her team who felt her wrath. The only real warmth was shown to her daughter Bee and in her support of designer Thakoon.

The real star of the show was Grace Coddington, former model and creative director of Vogue, who bears an uncanny similarity to Vivienne Westwood. She was shown to be the brains behind most of the shoots - a magnificent stylist. Further, she exhudes a warmth Anna does not. She is particularly likeable when she argues against the retouching of a stomach for a photo-story and encourages a model to eat a pastry despite claims that the corset will not fit.

Hilarious moments include editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley attempting to play tennis, complete with Louis Vuitton outfit. Also, when Anna removes a photo of a rubber outfit from a shoot entitled 'textures'. The only explanation that the art director can produce is that 'for Anna, rubber is not a texture'.

Nogoy.

They don't come cheap but these statement waist belts by Nogoy are a must-have. Each piece is handcrafted in-house by their skillful team of leather tailors and jewellers. The decadent designs will add a dash of glamour to any outfit. I'm considering purchasing the 'snake clinch belt' on the bottom right - it is definately a conversation starter. I'll try and forget that one of Girls Aloud was photographed wearing it.

Monsoon.

I'm not a fan of Monsoon's bohemian/hippy style and didn't think they really catered for the younger shopper. However, I found this dress online under their edgier collection 'Monsoon Fusion'. Sequins can look tacky but the unusual shapes created produce a 20s flapper dress feel.

Jane Gowans.

These sensational pieces from Scottish Gowans are made from silicone rubber, precious metals and freshwater pearls. They are both unconventional and ultramodern.
